Information for SIGs and Caucuses who wish to request a meeting during the 2014 SCMS Conference in Seattle will be available this winter. The below information, from last year's conference, is for informational purposes only.

Once again SCMS will provide a meeting room for group business meetings. The room is The Club International located on the Lobby Level of The Drake Hotel. It has a capacity of 125. We have attached photos of the space so you can see if it is appropriate for your meeting. Please be aware the existing furniture will remain but you are free to re-position it to fit your needs (the tabletops will be empty). It's a nice, informal atmosphere. It will be available during the day beginning Wednesday, March 6, 2013 through Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Please sign up for ONE day and meeting time by clicking on the link below after you have reviewed the preliminary draft of the conference program on the SCMS website (under Conference and 2013 Schedule in the main menu) and identified when your sponsored sessions are scheduled.

To reserve a larger room, a room in the evening after the last session on Thursday, after the reception on Friday, or after the last session on Saturday, please contact Leslie LeMond (meetings@scmsconference.com). Meeting times that are not listed on the Event Schedule and Sign Up webpage will not be scheduled until the program is set for all panels, workshops, and conference events. Meeting times selected after January 7 will not be included in the final printed program.

Groups can also schedule meetings offsite at local restaurants, taverns, and bars. We will post the SCMS Conference Host Committee’s guide to the area on the website with the preliminary program draft to use as a resource for making reservations and planning meetings outside of the conference hotel.

Please note that we cannot schedule meetings at the same time as the members’ business meeting (Friday, March 8 from 11am to 12pm), and we ask that you not schedule meetings during the Award Ceremony or the Reception (Friday, March 8, 4:15-7:30pm). The deadline for selecting a day and time is January 7, 2013 by 5:00 pm CST. SCMS staff will send the corrected preliminary draft to the designers on that date.
