Online Journals

FLOW: A critical forum on television and media culture.

VECTORS: Vectors is a new, international electronic journal dedicated to expanding the potentials of academic publication via emergent and transitional media. A research initiative sponsored by USC's Institute for Multimedia Literacy, Vectors continues the IML's mission to explore emerging forms of scholarship, research and communication in multimedia and is committed to engaging cross-disciplinary debates surrounding the changing role of the visual and the aural in scholarship, media and daily life.

KINEMA: A Journal for Film and Audiovisual Media. ESTABLISHED in 1993 at the University of Waterloo, Department of Fine Arts (Film Studies), the semi-annual KINEMA publishes articles, critiques of film and media literature. It also reports on international film festivals, conferences and other important events. The journal's aim is to promote the discussion of history, theory and aesthetics of film and audiovisual media from an international perspective. KINEMA is listed in Ulrich's, Oxbridge and other major periodical directories.

JUMP CUT: A Review of Contemporary Media. JUMP CUT is a refereed e-journal that is dedicated to analyzing media in relation to class, race, and gender.

THE RADIO JOURNAL: International Studies in Broadcast and Audio Media is designed for all those interested in research into the production, reception, texts and contexts of radio and audio media. This includes all structures, forms and genres of radio broadcasting and also embraces net distribution and audio streaming of radio services and texts, CD-ROMs, books-on-tape, and sound art.

SCOPE: Scope is an entirely free online journal of film studies edited by staff and students within the Institute of Film Studies at the University of Nottingham. As a fully refereed journal, Scope is dedicated to publishing material of the highest scholarly quality and interest, and to this end has assembled a distinguished international advisory board of professional academics and critics.
