2013 Preliminary Conference Program Online

The preliminary draft of the 2013 Chicago Conference Program is now online. To access it click here. To look up author names select the Find button on the tool bar and enter the author's name in the upper left corner of the search box and return. You can also use Ctrl + F to locate the author's name.

If there are minor corrections or changes (affiliation, order of presentations, format issues or spelling corrections) to your panels, workshops or papers, please send them to by January 7, 2013 at 5pm CTSCMS cannot accommodate requests for changes in the scheduled day or time of the panels or workshops.

Room numbers are for administrative use only. Due to possible changes in room assignments, the names of the rooms will be included in the final printed program only.

If you know of any cancellations, please notify us as soon as possible. The SCMS refund policy is provided below.


All requests for refunds MUST be e-mailed to the SCMS office at and received no later than Monday, February 7, 2013 at 5pm CT. No telephone requests please.

Please note that corrections will not be made to the preliminary draft. They will be included in the final printed program that will be available at the conference.

I read it on Safari and had no problem searching (via the find link on EDIT).

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you read the file in Safari, it might not be searchable. If you save/download the file and open it outside of Safari, you should be able to search. This seems like it's a bug and/or compatibility issue with Safari and the Adobe Acrobat reader plug-in. Best, Jim

The instructions for finding someone's name in the program do not work on a Mac, in Safari. Why? Why always the anti-Mac-ness?
