The General Fund is a great place to contribute to all aspects of our organization.
The Travel Funds assist graduate student and under/unemployed members with their travel expenses associated with the SCMS Annual Conference (if you wish, you may earmark one or the other in the "Donor Comments" field of the donation form).
This fund supports our annual awards, including the Anne Friedberg Award, the Best Edited Collection/Best Essay Award, the Best First Book Award, the Kovacs Book/Essay Award, the Dissertation Award, the Distinguised Career Award, the Pedagogy Award, the Service Award, and the Award for Student Writing (if you wish, you may earmark your donation for any of these specific awards in the "Donor Comments" field of the donation form).
This fund is dedicated to helping undergraduate students who typically have no professional resources at their disposal to attend the SCMS Undergraduate Conference. This annual venue has proven to be a successful place for them to share their scholarship and to have their first experience of the profession. Please consider donating to this SCMS educational event. For more information on this conference, click on the “Undergrad” balloon on the homepage or www.cmstudies.org/?page=undergraduate.
