Biography: Angelo Restivo is Associate Professor and Area Director in the Program for Moving Image Studies, Department of Communication, Georgia State University. He received his Ph.D. in Critical Studies in the School of Cinema-TV at the University of Southern California in 1997.

His articles have appeared in numerous collections, most recently in Antonioni: Centenary Essays (Palgrave 2011), Companion to Alfred Hitchcock (Blackwell 2011), and Global Art Cinema (Oxford 2010). His coauthored work on gay porn (with Richard Cante) has appeared in More Dirty Looks(BFI 2004) and Porn Studies (Duke 2004). He has published in many journals, including Film Quarterly and Quarterly Review of Film and Video.
