Biography: Amber P. Hodge is a third-year PhD student in American literature at the University of Mississippi. Her dissertation will address the problem of the human in the global southern gothic. Amber is also working on a graduate minor in Gender Studies with research that examines representations of the abject and/or hyper-gendered body across boundaries of class, race, region, and sexuality.
