Goals and Objectives:
- To represent and promote the interests of cinema and media studies librarians and archivists within the Society.
- To promote dialog between librarians, archivists, and scholars working in various fields within the Society.
- To help cinema and media studies librarians/archivists stay abreast of trends in scholarship by involving them in Society activities
- To provide a focus of activity in which librarians and archivists can work collaboratively on problems and issues that affect users of cinema and media studies libraries/archives.
- To provide an institutional “home” for cinema and media studies librarians/archivists where none currently exists.
- To establish core values and best practices for this field of librarianship.
