Biography: Mary Desjardins is Associate Professor of Film and Media Studies at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.  Prior to her arrival at Dartmouth in 1995, she was Assistant Professor in Radio-TV-Film at University of Texas-Austin, lecturer in Film Studies at UC Santa Barbara, and adjunct instructor in Communication Arts at Loyola-Marymount in Los Angles.
